Yesterday, Saturday January 19, the first concert of the “Musica’t”programme that will hold the Civic Centre Can Castelló of Barcelona throughout 2013 was held . On this occasion acted the songwriter Daniel Cerdà and the guitarist Raul Costafreda who offered a repertoire of songs in which reviewed the Catalan popular song from the 60s to the present. the audience could hear songs from Joan Manuel Serrat, Lluís Llach, Antonia Font, Manel, Sau, Toti Soler and Jaume Sisa among others. The use of midi guitars, mandolin and acoustic guitars gave the performance a certain dynamism and originality to this eclictycal musical journey. In between songs, they have explaining the historical and social context of each song. They also invited the public to interact with the artists. So, when they sang “Words for Julia” in memory of the poet José Agustín Goytisolo, several participants explained that they were neighbors of the family and some had studied with his daughter Julia. The concert was recorded on video and we hope to offer some fragment shortly.
